1. AS A PAYROLL ASSISTANT FOR PAYREEL, WHAT ARE YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES?
VICKIE: I make sure all new hire paperwork is complete and accurate, which includes verifying information with the appropriate federal and state agencies. I then set-up each new employee in our payroll processing system. I also prepare SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Pension and Health reports and Final Cast List reports for our film clients.
2. WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT WORKING FOR PAYREEL?
VICKIE: There is never a dull moment around here, so we keep busy all of the time. I truly enjoy all of my co-workers and interacting with new and returning clients.
3. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH PAYREEL?
VICKIE: Since May of 2007.
4. WHAT DO YOU THINK SETS PAYREEL APART FROM THE COMPETITION?
VICKIE: Because we are a small business, we can offer more personal attention to our clients. Some of the larger payroll companies treat their clients as a number. Many of our clients are like family.
5. WHAT STRENGTHS DO YOU THINK YOU BRING TO THE PAYREEL TEAM?
VICKIE: I am patient, friendly and take pride in my abilities as a Payroll Assistant.
6. HOW HAVE YOU SEEN THE INDUSTRY CHANGE OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS?
VICKIE: Everything is becoming more and more automated which makes us all more efficient. We just have to be careful not to lose the personal attention many of our clients seek.
7. TELL US ONE THING ABOUT YOURSELF THAT PEOPLE MAY NOT KNOW.
VICKIE: I completed an HR Management Certificate program last summer with the University of Phoenix, and am currently working towards an Associates' Degree in Human Resources. I attend classes online which makes it very convenient because I can schedule class time around my work schedule.
